Gut-loving green kefir smoothie
Kefir, kiwi and spinach blended until silky. An easy first step into fermented foods, and it tastes like a treat.

¾ cup (180 ml) plain kefir
1 ripe kiwi, peeled
1 handful baby spinach
½ frozen banana
1 tbsp ground flaxseed
A few mint leaves
Juice of ¼ lime
Ice, to taste
To serve: a lime wheel and a sprinkle of chia seeds.
Method
Add everything to a blender, starting with the kefir.
Blend on high for 45 seconds, until completely smooth.
Taste and add a little more lime or a few ice cubes if you like.
Pour into a glass and drink straight away.
Tips & swaps
Low-FODMAP: use lactose-free kefir and a firm, just-ripe banana.
Dairy-free: coconut kefir works well here.
More protein: add a spoonful of Greek yogurt or unflavored protein powder.
